Description of Services:
  • Provides a 24-hour emergency line to report health hazards or obtain information about a health hazard emergency event
  • Identifies and investigates potential health hazards including extreme temperatures, heavy metals, bed bugs etc
  • Takes appropriate steps to eliminate and/or decrease the effects of the health hazards to the community
  • Ensures public health services are delivered during health hazard events
  • Participates on Community Emergency Response Committees to develop, coordinate and monitor plans for communities to follow in emergency situations
  • Partners with Kenora Integrated Pest Management Committee (KIPMC) to monitor pesticide use
