A Snow Removal Assistance program, offered by the Town of Caledon, to support eligible low-income older adults (65+), Older Adults 75+ and low-income persons with disabilities to safely access their private driveways, stairs and walkways during various winter weather events. The Town will provide assistance in the form of a financial grant to qualified applicants to support the purchase of snow removal services. Residents will receive a maximum rebate of $500 Please Note: this program is not eligible to be combined with the Windrow Removal Assistance Pilot Program. | Frais: | Eligible residents will receive a maximum rebate of $500 | ||
| Admissibilité / population desservie: | Program Eligibility: Be 65 years of age or older by the date of application and receiving Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) OR be younger than 65 years of age by the date of application and receiving Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP); and Be responsible for the removal of snow from their own property and do not live in a condominium complex, apartment or similar dwelling whereby all snow removal is the direct responsibility of the condominium or property management corporation; and Confirm that no abled-bodied persons under the age of 65 capable of removing snow from the property reside at the address of the application; and Sign/Agree to the Snow Removal Financial Assistance Program Waiver provided in the application, older adults 75 with proof of age and residency | ||
