Description of Services: Ontario Health atHome assess and coordinate access to professional health care services such as nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy and dietetic services for children with special health needs who require assistance in the school setting.
Requirements
Fees: Covered by OHIP
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Services are available province-wide to children 21 years of age or younger with special needs in a school registered with the Ministry of Education and whom are Ontario residents insured under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan.
Application: The referral process is initated by the teacher or prinicpal in the school.
Waiting Period - No waiting period to make a new referral. Waiting periods for direct service vary depending on type of service required and priority need.
